Jonathan Howes (MRP,MPA) professor of planning and public policy at UNC and former Mayor of Chapel Hill. From 1993-1997, he served in NC Governor Hunt's cabinet as Secretary of the Department of Environment, Health and Natural Resources. He returned to the University in 1997 to serve as Special Assistant to the Chancellor for Community Affairs. This work is titled "Mending a Broken Heart: A Self Portrait, with appreciation to Dr. Brett Sheridan and my family." Nov. 2008
