Art from the Heart auction: About the Auction

Local celebrated personalities, heroes and established artists have painted canvases to be auctioned in support of the exceptional educational experiences at Kidzu Children's Museum and the Chapel Hill Museum. Participants range from UNC coaches to triangle chefs, from town officials to musicians, from notable artists to authors. After viewing them on our web site, you can see these creations in person on exhibit at the Chapel Hill Museum and the Kidzu Children's Museum.

You'll find original work by Roy Williams, Tommy Edwards, Alexander Julian, Cam Hill, Betsy Pringle, Butch Davis, Sylvia Hatchell, Eric Montross, Michael Brown, Dot Wilbur- Brooks, Emil Kang, Dean Smith and many, many more.

How to Bid

• Call Chapel Hill Museum at 929-SHOP (929-7467), Monday through Saturday 10 am to 4pm or Sunday from 1pm to 4 pm, to place your bid over the phone or to find out the current bid on your favorite.
• Minimum bid is $50 with $10 increments.
• Last phone bid taken will be noon on February 5th, 2009.
• You'll find out if your bid won after the final bidding party.

Final Bidding Party February 5

Our final bidding gala will be held Thursday, February 5th, 6:30 - 8:30 pm at the former Storehouse location at Chapel Hill's University Mall.

Wear festive attire and enjoy fine fare and drink from area restaurants.

Cost is $30 per person / $50 per couple. Party, bid and support the education programs of Chapel Hill Museum and Kidzu Children's Museum.
