"My Grandmother's House Plans" Linwood paints with acrylics and sometimes embeds paper and fiber materials with the paint as he works. Multiple layers are built up until at some point he scrapes, scars and melts the canvas to create the surface and texture he is seeking. Some paintings become almost totally exposed while others become obliterated by the last application of paint and materials. Linwood's work has been shown at the Durham Art Guild, Craven Art Gallery and Magnolia Grill, all in Durham, NC.
